Odeon - digital projection

It was one year ago that I complained about the terrible quality and setup of the Digital projector at the Wimbledon Odeon.

I am happy to report today that I have seen my 5th digital movie there (over the past 3-4 months), and they have all been truly Excellent.

The image is brighter, and more stable (no film sprocket-hole jitter). The resolution is more than sufficient to enjoy high quality, first-run films.

( See other thread for the Amazing re-worked Digital version of Goldfinger - wonderful ! )

So, I would recommend that you check the odeon.co.uk website to see which films are being shown in digital format, and let me know what you think.

( I am NOT employed or associated with Odeon or the digital projector company in any way )

I've heard about my local multiplex starting to do this and was wondering about the quality. I have to say that I'm intrigued to know what the image would be like: I'm guessing it'd be DVD-quality, only fifty foot high :D

The Wimbledon Odeon is not showing a digital version of Ratatouille, sigh.

They did show Cars digitally, and it was terrific to see.

And Ratatouille was released here much later than in the USA, so I guess Cheapo Disney is just recycling the old prints from the USA...

Anyone know if any cinemas are showing it digitally?
