Any help with these problems would be greatly appreciated!
(1) Find the general solution of the equation D?(D?-4D+5)?y=0
(2) Solve the IVP : y''+9y=0, y(1)=-2, y'(1)=1
yeah i on #2 putting in the conditions for the general soln y=Acos(3x)+Bsin(3x) you would have
-2=A(cos3)+B(sin3) right? so how would you find A and B?
