Odd lumps on tongue

Hello, I noticed a cople of months ago large flesh pink lumps on the very back sides of my tongue, and the have just recently started to spread to the back of my tongue. They are completely painless and I can't feel them, but are starting tro get out of hand. I have looked at pictures all across the internet and have found nothing at all that looks like them. I have been to my PCP and a dentist and neither has any idea what they are. I'm seeing a specialist July first but am just wondering if anyone has had anyything like this. Your advice would be greatly welcomed.

I sorta have these. I was at school when I had a rash of infections overcome me. I soon realized I had these large pink bumps on the back of my tongue. I asked the RN's at school what they were, but they were not sure. They told me they should go away in a week or two. That was three months ago... I still have the lumps.

I might be a little different because I am seeing a neurologist for a plethora of other reasons.

Have you had a recent bout of infections? Possibly viral?
 
I haven't had any recent infections that I know of, but I did have surgery about 8 weeks ago and they may have given me antibiotics or something else. On the other hand I'm not sure if they started up before or after the surgery. I also got started on some new asthma meds.
 
It may be from the antibiotics. I noticed my bumps almost two days after I began taking them. Although I never looked at the back of my tongue before it all started, so they could have been there all along. I had a sore throat, and I was looking in the mirror when I spotted them.

Went to a specialist. Had the amazing experiance of having a tube shoved up my nose and down my throat. He did a biopsy and said there was a five percent chance of being a tumor, but he was almost positive it wasn't. Had a family emergency and haven't been back since. He hasn't called me with terrible news though so I'm not too worried.
