I am a female student with a male band teacher that I have known for the four years I've been in High School. I am a senior and am 18 (If that matters). The other day after class I was talking to him and he was encouraging me to take my psychology test. I told him that he wasn't one of those teachers that tries too hard to be cool, he is just naturally cool. After I said that he said "Aw, Can I have a hug? Even though you don't like them." I said "Sure" and we hugged.
I thought of this as sweet, but a bit odd. I haven't seen him hug a student before and he has only done it once to me when I was accepted by a college, which was understandable. However, this hug was for no reason. it's a bit out of character for him, I think.
What did this mean? Did he think I needed a hug or what?
