Can anyone confirm this for me?
I was sure it was going to be December 10th 2004 and I'm sure it was on the OceansTwelve website - but on empire online its now saying february 4th 2005....can anyone confirm when it will actually be out and if it is delayed then why??

And surely it would be better to wait until Valentine's Day to release like they did last time if they are already delaying by two months??

thanks
:)

Thanks. still don't understand why there is a delay of 2 months between the US and UK release dates - I'm sure Oceans 11 was released on the same date in the US and UK? Oh well....

there notmally is that sort of delay on movies- except LOTR, that was a world wide release on the same date.

just look at hellboy, farenheit 9/11, there are loaRAB that come out in the uk well after they have been released in the us

The standard excuse for movies coming out in the US before the UK is that we get their second hand film reels for use in our cinemas. Apparently making enough for everyone at the same time would be too expensive- altho big films like LOTR are obviously going to make enough money to cover the costs. In fact really big films like LOTR are trying to limit the damage of piracy, as interest in dodgy 'advance' versions is always massive for stuff like Matrix/LOTR/Star Wars.

Yeah it seems normal now for the majority of films to have a delay of about 2 months between US and UK release except for the big blockbusters. The worst case of a delay has to be Hellboy which was delayed a whole 6 months!

No, there was a two-month gap between Ocean's Eleven coming out in the US and the UK too. (Dec 2001/Feb 2002).

Ocean's Twelve was originally going to come out in the UK on Christmas Eve, but now its February 4th, 2005.

Amazingly, we're the last major country to get it-everyone from Finland to the UAE will have had it by late December. Have a look on imdb.

The one good thing about the delay in the release in UK cinema is that I will be able to buy the Region 1 DVD about 2 months before it is released on DVD on this country. However I cant understand why we are one of the last countries to get this film released even if its the same delay that Ocean 11 had when it was it released as it makes no sense!

I've just read on the BBFC website that Ocean's 12 has been given a 12A certificate and has one use of strong language with further use of strong language bleeped.

Was that part of the film or have Warner Bros done it to give the film a 12A rating in the UK?
