On the Ocean's 11 DVD commentary, the director Steven Soderbergh gets talking about Carl Reiner, who plays the old and ill guy, Saul Bloom.

He says something about Carl Reiner coming in at about three days notice as "someone else couldn't do it". Any ideas who the original choice was?
