Obscure Cartoons From Years Past

And Spy Groove.

Of the three shows based on Jim Carrey's movies, Dumb and Dumber is the least successful and remembered. I thought it was just average.

Is there ANYONE at all who remembers an old cartoon series based on "The Count of Monte Cristo"?
 
It seems that Ozzy & Drix (based on Osmosis Jones) disappeared as soon as they came. It was slightly above average to me. The concept gets points for originality.

 
Fantastic Max aired on Boomerang up until September. I remember it originally used to come on Sunday Mornings along with Yogi's Treasure Hunt and a few other H-B shows.
 
I can honestly say I haven't seen that.

Though I thought this show got a little preachy some-most of the time, I still kind of liked it: Stargate Infinity. Another sci-fi show that didn't last long was Bureau of Alien Detectors, which recently came on and went off Jetix. Just okay to me.
 
"The Flintstones" had many spin-offs over the year. The least known, however, is probably the one that was aimed at pre-school, called "Cave Kids" and it starred Pebbles, Bamm-Bamm, and Dino.

Basically the three would go on an adventure through their imagination and learn lessons on the way.

The show ran in 1996 on Cartoon Network for only 8 episodes. It was never seen again after that, until it was legally put online on AOL TV for a brief time.

One of the many things off-putting was that Christine Cavanaugh did the voice of Bamm-Bamm. Let's just say she used Chuckie's voice for it.
 
Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm. Apparently this is around the time they were trying to make MK more of a kid-friendly franchise, along with the movie (though strangely it didnt affect the games).
 
The 'Once Upon a time...' series are quite well known in Europe and various part of the world. They were created by Albert Barril? starting with Once Upon a time...Man (famous for its dramatic opening). This show was pretty entertaining AND extremely educational. We actually watched it in History class when I was in 8th grade and it aired sporadically for at least 15 years if not more.

I never sat through these shows, but I loved the opening themes to the Wuzzles and David the Gnome when I was a kid. And still like the opening themes.
 
Unless you guys had been smoking some serious hemp over the years, do any of you guys remember these cartoons:

King Arthur and the Knights of Justice - Interesting take on the King Arthur legend, with a football team becoming the Knights of the Round Table during the days of Camelot (with some serious weaponry to boot)!

Princess Gwenevere/Starla and the Jewel Riders - Like King Arthur and the Knights of Justice, but with female leads and one of the only shows where the heroine and the villainess were part of the same family! Plus Lady Kale was hot!

The Bots Master - I didn't know what type of drugs I was taking when I was watching this series, but man, that show was interesting to sit through!

Spider Riders - Didn't this turkey come on Kids' WB! years ago?

Maxie's World - Somebody shoot my ass for mention this series that used to come on alongside Beverly Hills Teens and Punky Brewster the animated series, but Hasbro made the biggest mistake of their lives when they dumped Jem for this abomination back in 1988!

And, don't even get me started on Lady Lovelylocks and the Pixietales, except that Duchess Ravenwaves was a beeyotch and I had to sit through that and the Rainbow Brite segments to get to Ulysses 31, which was my favorite!

Ugh, I recall liking Maxie's World - even had one of the dolls, I think. Imagine my horror upon getting my hands on a few episodes a few years ago. I was just speechless, it was so bad.

Awww, Lady Lovely Locks was a staple of my childhood. Nowadays I might watch it for some good giggles. It's so cheesy!
 
These 80's cartoons mentions, bring back some memories. The 80's is remember for being a conservative anti drug decate, but tell that to these cartoon makers, but I swear these writers, producders, had to be acid.
 
I own "Once upon a time...Space" on DVD and it's an awesome sci-fi series. I liked that it was the only "Once upon a time..." show to have an actual storyline and character development.

My favorite episode is "The Robot Revolt", especially Metro's fight with that Goldorak/Grendizer wannabee. Boy does that big bully get owned :anime: .

I wish I could get the "Once upon a time...Man" series but it's way too expensive for me right now. I swear, that show and Histeria helped me pass history class.
