Obscure Cartoon Spotlight Episode 1: Eek! The Cat

Holly crow's nest, nobody even told me that Plucky Duck had his own TV show. This is interesting stuff indeed Tobias, if only Spidey4545, the Fox Kids Historian, took a gander at this, he'd be proud of me. ;)

Thanks for the fun info, and for making this thread more educational for younger viewers to understand. :)

Request accepted for the Plucky Duck Show, this show will go in the Warner Bros. Club Forum. ;)

Technically, Plucky Duck didn't have his his own show. The Plucky Duck Show was really just an umbrella title for a compilation of assorted Plucky-centered shorts from various Tiny Toons shows. The only original episode of TPDS was the opener, "The Return of Bat-Duck", which formula and gag-wise was little more than a retread of "Hollywood Plucky". TPDS was basically just a character spotlight VHS tape compilation, only in TV series form.

Same deal with The Terrible Thunder Lizards. The shorts which ran there weren't new episodes, they were the same shorts that aired on Eek!, only repackaged in their own half-hour, which is probably why it didn't last long.

All of those shorts except for "The Return of Bat-Duck" are from Tiny Toon Adventures shows. (Granted, a few of them like "Party Crasher Plucky" and "Video Game Blues" aired on TPDS before their respective TTA shows debuted, but they were no less recycled.) That article proves my original statement correct.

Now I gotcha, sorry for the confusion, Silverstar. We often get mixed up in our research. I always knew that the Terrible Thunderlizards was only a segment of Eek's show. But thanks to you, you were right about Plucky's show as a segment, like the Terrible Thunderlizards. Thanks! ;)
