Oblivion Crew...

At the beginning, ya I picked up mostly everything. There are plenty of stores to sell it at. Usually for the crap you find early on, just find a general trade goods store.

As for making potions... you use your alchemy skill, if you have it. You'll need some of the devices... like an ambelic... a retort... a mortar and pestle... etc. You can find all these at the alchemy type stores. Then you'll just click on your mortar, or for nicer stuff- your ambelic... then you put in ingredients like plants and meat and such.

Damnit!! I hate it when stuff like that was right under my nose... do you need to make it your primary quest? (and how would you do that anyway?)

I just don't know how I'll ever be able to afford anything. I can hardly ever buy spells.

It doesn't help that I have two main weapons, one with damage enhancements, and the other with a bunch of magic drain stuff.

when you get to higher levels it gets harder to do EVERYTHING
some of my buds have had an impossible time closing oblivion gates at 13
and others have thought thet the gates were too easy at level 5
shit just gets harder to do as you go on.

Finding lockpicks was taking away from the fun of the game for me, so I player.additemed the 'unbreakable' lockpick to my character.

I think you can quest for it, if you don't feel like cheating or if you have the 360 version.

as you walk out of the sewers, before it loads the next area, itll ask you if you wanna edit everything. just save before you leave, so next time you wanna start a new character or edit your own to start over, you can just load that save and not have to do the tutorial all over again

Is there a way to quickly erase old saves?

I have probably over 100 saves, and I wouldn't mind getting rid of them. It is just scrolling through them takes forever!

I dont know if its better on PC but it feels like you are steering a god damn 1124259 limo.

Just do whatever you want. I tried quite a few differant characters before I finally settled in. I'm avoiding the main quest right now and trying to do everything else, which... may mean I never get to the main quest

Trying to do the Thieves guild quests right now. I haven't hurt an enemy in the last 3 hours of play. Over the last 5 hours or so, I've killed one guy.

If you want to make things a little tougher on yourself, try becoming a vampire. If you learn the dos/donts then it can actually become a life saver
