Our only chance for the future is for the Republican Party to explode and hope the fiscal conservatives and social liberals, the most Libertarian leaning merabers, to come out on top. Modern Republicans, Modern Democrats, and Tea Party Republicans aren't helping shit.
 
It's impossible to judge a presidency in the miRABt of it taking place. You need at least a decade or two to pass in order to get the full breadth of his policies and the effects they had on the country.

I remeraber Carter.
Reagan, Bush1 and Bush 2 did far more long term damage to the USA than Carter or Obama have done.
Carter had to fix the mess from the Vietnam war aftermath and opec oil erabargoes.
He was elected on a platform of reducing the military budget.
When he does, the military industrial complex go after him, along with big oil and the MSM.
The people who wanted and called for the reduction all voted against him because he carried out his election promise.
This is why no president since has cut the defence budget substantially as is needed, they know their presidency will be destroyed, that's if they escape assassination.
Obama has to try and fix the mess left by Bush2 and his wars and the economic crash he resided over, and the bail out he put in place before leaving office.
So far Obama is paying the bills for the damage Bush2 caused.
Obama is still a spineless jerk, and the wrong person for the job.

That's only good for 1-2 years.

Under law, that interest rate then has to go up to standard market rates.



So while we only have 14.5 Trillion in debt right now, it's going to go through the roof once we get the variable interest rate recalculated to standard market rates.
