Just came from the show. Ducati has a huge presence there. They have the Ducati stunt team and their booth is one of the largest with on going fashion shows. They have the new Multistrada there (on stage so no one can sit on it) as well as Nicky Hayden's Moto GP bike. He was there as well before the crowds were let in. I had a Press pass. They also have the special Corse 1198 bike (with the Al. gas tank) and all their models there including a coffee bar. Much better than in the past where their booth was enclosed by walls and the one entrance/exit was always congested.
BMW was there as well with several S1000RR's
No Aprilla, KTM, MV Agusta, Ural.
The Japanese brands, HD, Victory, Royal Enfield and Triumph were there. Honda had their new VFR 1200 there for anyone to sit on.
None of the choper brands were there for the first time!
Last year Big Dog was there and some others.
Less vendors were there but better ones than last year I feel.
Ducati T shirts (red with white Ducati letters and black with red letters) are selling for $20. from $28. and the Ducati polo shirts for $30.
The racing and track schools were there, publications, apparel, accessories, HID's and other lighting
Took me 2 hours to see it all. I was expecting less so I came away satisfied, not estatic as in the past, and maybe because I already have a great bike, ha ha ha. I would recomend it.

I went last year and was pretty disappointed with the lack of the European presence (hardly any good European gear, mostly joe rocket )

Now none of these bikes either? Sounds like I'm not missing much.

Thanks for posting a review though, appreciate it.

Here in So.Cal., the Long Beach show is great,
primarily for 1 reason: demo rides. Hey, without
even having to pay to get into the show, you
can sign-up and take demo rides around the
Queen Mary and up the Long Beach Freeway.
And if you want to ride a Harley, they let you
go out un-escorted. What's not to like?
Since I've gone the past 7 years, only 1 rain-out.
Other than that, I've ridden Buells, Yamahas,
Kawies, even a Moto-Guzzi V-11 a couple of
years ago. Good times in the California sun!

No I did not. Saw and mentioned them in my report.
The stunt show was nice. Good to see Ducati doing this. Makes them less of a mystery to some and it shows what their bikes can do.

you did mention them, did not mean to insinuate that yo did not.

i had a great time at the show also, bikes were great, stunt show was spectacular and the girls in the fashion show were hot

Interesting that they had the new Multi cordoned off. At the Greenville IMS 3 weeks ago, anyone could sit it. I sat it twice. Nice ergos, very slim and light-feeling. Should be an awesome machine!
