NYC Bike Show Jan.16-18

Very disappointing show. No pics, not just worth it.
Ducati was great with all their new bikes and the race videos of Stoner etc. but the other manifacturers were just plain boring.
HD had their semi in there with all their models, BMW was nice but same models like last year no S1000RR superbike, the KTM superbike was beautiful but that's it for that make.
Suzuki also had all their models and a semi in there, Kawasaki and Honda , usual models, Honda has a new chopper style bike (Fury) using the VTX 1300 engine, shaft drive too. Cleaner looking than the Yamaha Raider. I like the nasty V Max and its lighter than the heavy B King. Kawasaki's ZX14 has nice new colors including a cool metalic green. Same thing with the new Busa including a white one.
Yamaha's new R1 was nice (narrower than the GSXR1000) and quite comfy. Similar to the CBR 1000RR
Victory had a new prototype unveiling that looked like a Roland Sands bike.
Moto Guzzi Aprilla were there but nothing interesting and very small space.
The usual choppers and customs were there, no sportbike customs, vendors of all kinds from clothing, sunglasses, insurance, magazines, tools and trinkets, custom painters, helmets etc.
No one selling the high end stuff like nice rearsets and levers/grips from the better known brands were there. I would have wanted to see more on the increasing popularity of HID lighting (there was only one and it looked like crap), exhausts systems (not the usual cruiser types), after market seats like Sargent, Corbin, Rick Mayer etc,
I guess the current economic conditions turned off many of the usual and other prospective vendors/manifacturers from paying the big bucks at the Javitts.
This is the first time I did not take any pics at all!
I would still recomend going but keep the expectations down.
