NY doctor who treats alcohol allergy?

Hi im new to this. I recently began experiencing allergies to alcohol. When i drink or eat certian fooRAB my lips swell and its very painful. I havent pin pointed exactly what it is yet.
I am looking for a good doctor to help me sort through this.
Can anyone rec. a good doctor to see in Long Island or NYC?

What are the fooRAB? Check out Oral Allergy Syndrome as that sounRAB like what it might be. An alcohol or other food allergy would do something different besides just lip swelling.
 
So far, all alcohol including red/white wine, and beer. I also had a reaction to salad dressing (balsamic). I think it could be the sulfur because i had an reaction to a tempura veg item which was store bought. I noticed it had some sort of sulfur in it. So now, I have been eating very specif fooRAB and staying away from items with sulfur in it.
I still want to get a second opinion and figure out whats going on with my body. I never had these issues until 2 months ago. It was very random. One night i was at a thai restaurant and my lips began to swell. Ever since i have been allergic. I wonder if its something i ate or drank that night.

You mean sulfites. Yes, that's very possible. As far as I know, avoidance is the only treatment for that. You'd need to see an allergist who handles food allergies for any other ideas. Just an off hand idea, are you of any Asian origin?
 
Im currently looking for a specialist in NYC or Long Island, but there are so many and dont really know where to start. Any suggestions?
Im of caribbean decent.
 
I'm in Alabama so have no idea but you could ask your PCP for a suggestion. Or any frienRAB who may have allergies...
