Over the past couple months i have been experiencing a loss of blood flow to my left forearm and hand when it is elevated for more than a minute or so. When my arm is propped up on a desk, writing on a wall mounted board or just holding my cell phone to my ear seems to cause this. Putting the arm down to my side relieves the numbness and causes a brief "pins and needles" sensation in my fingertips.
I do lift weights about 4-5 times a week, but not to the point of getting bulky although i have packed on some muscle. My training is more for toning and definition than beefing up. I have been lifting off and on for the past 10 years or so.
I also spend alot of time with my arms propped up on a desk typing while at school.
I'm 26, 5'5", 160 lbs.
Any ideas?
