Number appearing without country code - only happens for one contact

I've recently moved from Ireland to England and therefore am texting people in Ireland quite a bit. My Irish contacts are spread out over different operators.

Two of my contacts are with Vodafone and they're details look like this:

Mary - 087 100 0010
Jane - 087 200 2010

I was using a Nokia when I moved over and I changed their numbers in my phone to include the country code:

Mary - +353 87 100 0010
Jane - +353 87 200 2010

On the Nokia, I had no issues replying to text messages received from Mary or Jane. However, I'm now using a G1 and every time I get a text from Mary, the top of the text message says:

Mary

When I try and reply to this I get an error because my UK network (Lebara) doesn't recognise that number. Clearly it needs the country code. So to reply to Mary I need to create a new message and search for her in the addressbook and add her from there which includes the country code. After I send the message it gets added to the thread containing Mary's original message.

I don't have this issue with Jane. Whenever I get a text from her it says at the top:

Jane

so I can reply as normal.

I've tried deleting and re-adding Mary from my addressbook loads of times to try and resolve this issue however it was no use.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Thanks,
Patrick

I have a G1, copied all my contacts over from my SIM which was originally set up on my Nokia N80 and have been experiencing no issues (well, not THIS issue, anyway). But, just to be sure, when you added your country code, did you check to be sure it wasn't "put back" w/o the code when your phone was synced?

I get this aswell but i transfered them all over from an orange sim to T-Mobile manually i have deleted all messages and the contact and when it comes though it still has no country code.
