Numb hands

No matter what position I place my hands after 20/min's on the bike my hands get numb, to the point I have to pull over and and get the blood moving. Any tips on preventing??
 
Loosen your death grip. I usually don't even really "grip" my grips just lay my hands streatched out. Risers help as well as either a kury throttle boss [requires kury grips] or buy a throttle rocker for both sides. I use the kury throttle boss in conjunction with vista cruise. The only time my hands go a little numb is when it is cold or riding Peaches bike.
 
Its the worst!
I have it right now just using the pc mouse.
What helped me on the bike a lot though was the Universal VistaCruise. Its a throttle lock that will give your hand a break for a few seconds to get the tingling out of your fingers. I swear by mine. Think it was around $30.00 or so.
 
I have a niece who was having trouble with numbness in her hands. Turns out she has something called "Raynaud's disease" - nothing deadly, just irritating.

I had to buy some Crampbusters. They have helped, but I too may have to switch over to some type of cruise control.
 
Do you wear gloves? If you have a pair that is juuuuuust a bit undersized it will pinch bloodvessels in your hand when you grip anything causing your hand to go numb after a few minutes. That happened to me. I switched to looser gloves and never had the problem since.
 
i suffer from carparal tunnel in my right wrist...
i know the best thing for it is to not grip too tightly, and keep my wrist as straight as possible... (top of the hand and forearm are level)
also i got a brakeaway cruise control...
 
I just bought a Crampbuster CrampBuster Motorcycle Cruise-control — RyKel Cruise Controls, Mechanical Cruise Control Types and used it for the first time today. Put about 300 km (185 mi) on - no hand cramp! Works great and it's cheap - $11.

Think I'll get some sort of throttle lock as well. However that won't replace the Crampbuster. With that little gadget, you can accelerate/decelerate simply by lowering/lifting your hand while its outstretched, likely with your fingers hovering over your front brake lever. Best little investment I've made in a long time.
 
If you have a farm store or hardware nearby that sells Carhart gloves, they have a nice leather work glove with padded palms. I used to have sore fingers, but then bought a pair of them, and it went away. Some guys also wear fingerless bicycle gloves with gel pads in the palms. I tried them, because I had a pair. I discovered that the gel was too much and felt like something that shouldn't be there was between my hands and the bike. I swear by Carharts - they don't cost a fortune like motorcycle gloves, and they're cheap!
 
I've also invested in the Universal VistaCruise, $50, and have gone on a couple of weekend trips in the past month each 300+ miles and I wouldn't have been able to without it.
 
I have the ISO grips and 2 throttle bosses. Had the same issue until I added these. I am a mechanic of 26 years and have left hand carpel tunnel and these grips work for me.
 
I had the numb hand problem on my C50. Installed a pair of Grab On grip covers and they work great. Made of EDPM foam and if installed according to instructions, there is no slippage. Now I'll see how long they last.
