I liked the books sisterhood but I hated the movie they were nothing like the books. I like Now and then so MUCH better then sisterhood.

Aww... I used to love this movie! I don't even know the last time I've seen this. Looks like I have another movie to add to my netflix queue :)

you should SO see Little Women - see the 1994 version cause that's the best.

plus the girls in N&T had more scenes together. the Sistehood girls spent a lot of time apart.

wasn't there a scene where they were having a bake sale or something to raise money for the treehouse and Teeny was kissing every boy for money? I'd like to see that scene so I can laugh

I would watch this movie over and over as a kid. I remember I was always like Roberta, tomboyish and of course Devon Sawa was a cutie. I loved the part where Roberta beats the crap out of that boy and Sam beats him up too. Also this is a great movie about friendship

Quotes:

Samantha: If you don't fall in love, you can't get hurt.
Roberta: But it sure is lonely all by yourself.

Samantha: Mr. Kent?
Bud: Oh please, call me Bud.
Samantha: Bug?
Bud: No, Bud, B-U-D. Bud.
Samantha: Oh. Well, BuD, you have a piece of food stuck in your teeth.

Bully: Why don't you go home and play with your dolls.
Chrissy: The only doll Roberta's got is a G.I. Joe!

Chrissy: I say we make a pact. Here and now. We're here for each other, always, no matter what happens in life. If Teeny goes off to Hollywood or I marry a rich doctor, we remember this day and this pact. Whenever we need a friend, we're here for each other. We can count on it. Always. No matter what.
Young Samantha Albertson: It's a pact.
Chrissy: All for one...
Chrissy, Teeny, Roberta, Young Samantha Albertson: And one for all.

Samantha: We all used to try so hard to fit in. We wanted to look exactly alike, do all the same things, practically be the same person, but when we weren't looking that all changed. The tree house was supposed to bring us more independence, but what the summer actually brought was independence from each other.

^ I wouldn't think of not giving you credit! But you're welcome, hehe.

This thread is for appreciating Now and Then (1995).

During the summer of 1970, four inseparable friends (Christina Ricci, Thora Birch, Gaby Hoffmann, and Ashleigh Aston Moore) breeze through heady days of cemetery séances, padded bras, and tell-all truth or dare sessions.

I had a really pretty white and pink one. I still have it somewhere but the battery is dead.
