November 2007: The Weakest Selection Of New Films In Years

Is it me or is November 2007 one of the worst months in recent years for new films worth seeing at the cinema. Last November was great with Casino Royale and next November Bond 22 and Harry Potter 6 are both released. But this November seems dire. I have a Cineworld unlimited card and always justify the cost by going at least three times during a month. But this month I am struggling to find anything worth seeing, even with an unlimited card. I saw ratatouille and Stardust at the start of November which were October releases still showing. I saw this coming when i read the November Cineworld magazine. This is really abysmal. I just dont fancy seeing American gangster, Beawulf, August Rush or Jane Austen Book Club. As my Cineworld is six screens the choice is limited anyway but I like most films and usualy find something to see. This fridays releases dont sound much better. At least there are some good family christmas films next month. Please recommened anything you have seen this month that was good and I might give it a try. Its nearly three weeks since I last went and its looking like I wont even recoup the

I concur. According to TotalFilm it is possibly the best film of the year. I can't wait to see it.

And to the OP, just because there's nothing that you personally want to see at the cinema doesn't mean that the selection is the "weakest for years", remember that people do have other opinions/tastes, and for the record, American Gangster was good.

Some of the films ive seen / will see this month:

Shrooms
Saw IV
August Rush (This is REALLY good)
30 Days of Night
Good Luck Chuck
Fred Clause (Will see)
Hitman (Will see)
Assassination Of Jesse James (Will see)
Elizabeth: The Golden Age
Lions for Lambs
