Notting Hill

Whats your thoughts on Notting Hill? Film 4 show it regularly and I never tire of watching it.

For me, it's the Support Cast that make the film, the Dinner Party scene is just brilliant.

It's okay as a rom-com but the decision to set a film in that part of London & not feature black people is unforgivable.

They didn't even feature the carnival as a backdrop.

Yes I like it. I quite like Richard Curtis comedies. Sometimes a bit bitter sweet but Notting Hill is enjoable.

I remember seeing it at the cinema in 1999. It was packed out. When the girl from Vicar Of Dibley appeared everybody was going "oooh its her" like it was so unusual for someone from a tv show to be in a film!!

Its okay , Rhys Ifans on about a girl he knew called Pandorra is good, you could lose Hugh Grant & Julia Roberts for what use they are & still have a comic film.

Very good film and as in Four Weddings, the support cast steal the show, esp Hugh Bonneville when he fails to recognise Anna at the birthday party
