Notorious

You know what, i think people who don't have an interest in this thread based upon the film should but out unless they can give a review (if they've seen it) or want to discuss it properly.

I personally hated rap and anything like this type of based upon story, but for some reason i am desperate to see this film because the story of his life intreagues me, i even downloaded a few of his songs and i have to say i like them. It just proves that you shouldn't really judge until you give it a go. i cannot wait to see this (whenever i get round to it as people keep cancelling!).

As for Jonathon Ross....PAH! Who cares what he has to say lol

I want to see this film. I was still in school when B.I.G died but I remember the media coverage. I won't claim to be a big rap fan but the story of his life and the film looks interesting.

EDIT: That reminRAB me, this morning i was watching E4's films or something it was called (it was on e4 with music videos mixed), and the presenter was talking about notorious and showing clips, then at the end he said well it doesn't look like Notorious will be getting any oscars soon, i thought bloody cheek!

Just been to see it. Never really been into rap music and i still enjoyed it. It starts off a little slow and at first it seems like the plot is a bit thin, but once he reaches the age of 17 it really gets going.

It went a bit self important in places, and i'm sure that a Tupac movie would paint Biggie in an entirely different light, but i suppose it was never going to be an ambiguous movie considering his own mother and Sean Combs produced it.

Regardless, it was a good film.

Saw this last night and what a cracking film! I really enjoyed it.

If you love hip-hop/rap/urban music or a fan of Notorious BIG or just simply love that era of music from back in the day you will like this film. If not, don't bother. I'm not a huge Biggie Smalls fan but i know enough about him and his music and i wanted to see if the film would be any good and it was.

The guy who plays BIG does look, talk and act like him. The guy who plays Puffy looks nothing like him but has enough charisma to carry it off but it's the casting of the ladies that pull it off - Lil Kim and the one that plays Faith Evans who is incredible!
