Notorious

Hmmmm... seems like a fair objection.

I'm actually quite intrigued by this film. After all, he is one of the greatest rappers of all time.

I read a review of this just a few days ago, admittedly it was in the Metro.

It was rather unfavourable.

Has anyone actually seen it that can comment on it?

I saw the recent "Notorious" about Biggie Smalls....the rapper. It was really well done and I think it was basically a true story without the Hollywood ending. It doesn't sugar coat and...if you are not a fan of this kind of music....you won't want to see it.

Now onto the original "Notorious" by Hitchcock...http://www.olRABchoolreviews.com/rev_40/notorious.htm....it was a great film and I have seen many of the Hitchcock films and maybe we should start a thread on them....my favorite was "Strangers on a Train"...

ppl please - stop being dicks and stop the patronising comments. The flick is about Christopher Wallace AKA Biggie Smalls or B.I.G.
Lets just stick to views about whether u have seen the film or not. Not just sly digs on styles of music just because u don't like it...

Agree with the above...

Childish and ignorant behaviour to be fair. I doubt you'd catch me on a movie thread, commenting on a film that was documenting the life of a rock star, just to leave comments like 'Rock sucks'. Whats the point? Its obvious that rock fans are going to be watching the film, so the sarcy comments are actually indirect insults to the people who will be watching the movie and also insulting ones taste in music. Quite pathetic really

As for the movie, reviews have been pretty negative so far, which is a shame, as I was looking forward to this one. Still, I'll be checking it out to make up my own mind.

I'm not going to bother listening to the reviews as i kinda base it upon MY opinion.

I hopefully will get round to seeing this, it looks good and i also would like to learn more about him. He led an interesting life.

ignore the negative reviews - the film is v good. the attention to detail and portrayal of some of those involved, especially puff daddy (as he was known back then) is interesting...

the scenes on stage and in clubs really took me back to the mid 90s. the actor who plays biggie looks and sounRAB exactly like him.

i loved how they recreated events that you'd heard about but never seen, since youtube didn't exist back in the day, like the source hip hop awarRAB row etc an how they weaved in real footage.

i found jonathan ross's review really irritating as it was clear he made no effort to understand the film...he sounded like an irritable child. hence i'm posting this, i don't post that often!

Too be fair its gonna flop as who cares about some drugged up Rapper that died in early 90's. There are only certain types of people who will see this film thankfully and the rest will just ignore it .

Maybe some ppl will actually care dum-dum, because they have an interest in his life and music.
You obviously don't...only 'certain types', really?

Yes certain types, most people as i said wont give a cr*ap about him. And dont i dont care about him , why should i? he didnt do anything for me and his music(if you can call it that) was pretty much rubbish.

Ok....

Hmmm, seeing as he was so successfull, I imagine a lot of people will care.

I wonder if Hollywood will make a movie about your life when you're gone? I'm guessing not....

So unfortunately, more people in the world care about Christopher Wallace, than care about you. Sad but true. Ouch
