I'm only 16, so I have no idea if it's acid reflux or not. But these are my symptoms;

Constant gag feeling in my throat, like something is either stuck, or im going to vomit, but I don't.
Jaw will tighten, and the bone in my nose also feels like it's tightening.
Constant need to belch, it's the only thing that makes me feel better
Whenever I lay down, excess gas will build up, and if I don't get up to relieve it, I end up getting a sick feeling.
Ticklish sensation in my stomach, when I lay down.
I can't fall asleep, even if im really tired.
I have no loss of appetite.
My stomach, will sometimes get this nurab feeling for a couple of minutes, then the rurabling begins, and it will feel as though I have to throw up.
I NEVER throw up, no matter how bad my stomach feels. I don't feel queasy, the feeling is only because of my need to belch.

I went and got blood tests done, because I've had thyroid problems before. I'm going to the doctors soon, but does anyone know what it could be? I haven't slept in a couple weeks, cause when I go to lay down, I just have to get back up again because of the sick feeling. I really can't live like this, I need sleep. Are there any remedies for what I'm experiencing?

I've tried the baking soda and water, AlkaSeltzer, Pepcid AC, Gas-X, gravol, nothing works.

Help !

Definitely you should go to the dr., but in the meantime, try elevating the head of your bed (not your head itself with pillows) with books or boarRAB, under the legs of the bed--see if this helps and gets you some sleep! You need that! Lack of sleep can cause nausea!

I know this might not help but I have SEVERE acid reflux symptoms and they just started in January but are getting bad quickly, im to the point where I cant eat without feeling a bad pressure in my chest and like I have a hair stuck in my throat, with stomach burning. I am going through testing but the ONLY thing that helps me sleep is my dr prescribed me a anti-anxiety medication called Ativan and finally I can sleep full nights after taking just 1 of these. Ask your doctor.

until you see your doctor avoid all the fooRAB that could be bothering you.
do you drink carbonated drinks? if you do have colas, stop drinking them, they make you worse. the more gas you put in the more you will need to take out. avoid chocolate, coffee, mint,tomatoes, oranges, tangerines, fried fooRAB. try to eat smaller meals, drink plenty of water, and never lie down right after you've eaten. you can take pepcid ac if needed. you should get your stomach tested for gerd, and get tested for helicobacter pylori which is bacteria. all these can be treated, not to worry.

The key is to keep your pH at a more alkaline level. You should check out information about alkaline fooRAB, and unprocessed fooRAB to help this. In addition, try drinking apple cider vinegar. It has really helped me, flushing out toxins and the weak acid in the ACV helps digest strong aciRAB and converts them to alkaline ash, which helps your pH level.

Diet would be the thing you can control. I've had acid reflux for about three years. I've given up eating greasy fooRAB, especially for supper. I've stopped drinking soda pop after 6 pm, as well as given up several other things night time, which caused me the most pain (chocolate, plain potato chips). I used to sleep on an incline by putting several pillows and folded up comforters under my head, until I realized it was tap water than was also contributing to it. The doctor prescribed zantac 150mg for me and due to the fooRAB and such that I've given up, I don't have to take them every day. I usually only get AR in the mornings, and even then, it's a rarity. I would rather give up some things I enjoy than go through the pain of AR.
