First, thanks for this forum, need advice/support.
For the last year I have been dealing with serious hearing issues. I've had 3 surgeries for Colostitomia in my right ear which destroyed the incus and stapies bones. last surgery they installed a prosthesis to replace them. It's working
Now the BAD news. I have hearing loss in both ears. The idea was, fix the ear with the worst loss first, then do the other. Well, didn't take long to figure out the left ear. I have a CSF leaking into the middle ear from the base of my skull. It's a rare condition. Usually this happens through the sinus cavity.
I was supposed to have surgery to correct this with a blood patch, but The pre-surgery CT scan revealed more than a single leak, meaning I'm facing full blown neuro-surgery.
Looking for any advice/support from anyone, but would really like to talk to someone who is familar with this kind of thing
