Hi everyone. Last night before going to bed I had a couple of episodes of diarrhea. Not a whole lot, but enough that my stomach started to kind of hurt. Then later on at night I woke up early and had pretty crazy muscle aches, and a slight fever (which I still have - fluctuates between about 99.5 and 100.2) I still have a little bit of diarrhea, maybe like 3 times today so far. I've had stomach issues before, but usually not with the aches and the fever. I'm worried that this could be something more serious, such as Crohn's. Would Crohn's aches and fever come on that quickly? I'm a 25 year old male that has had some stomach issues in the past. Mainly just loose stools every so often, usually around stressful times. But this seems different especially with the fever and aches. What else could it be? How worried should I be?

You probably have a virus, or maybe a light case of food poisoning. I'm not sure why you'd jump to the conclusion you have Crohns. You've been sick for one day.
Haha, I hear ya on that, I tend to jump at things quickly. Like I said I do occasionally have the stomach rumble, gas and loose stools, but certainly not every day, and not that severe. The strange thing is I've had bugs before, but never with the aching and the slight fever. I guess that's what alarming me the most.
The aching and slight fever are classic symptoms of a virus.
Crohn's is very serious- I had a friend that had it. I'm sure that treatments have improved since I last saw him, but his pain was excruciating and he was on some pretty powerful drugs to control it. As you describe your symptoms as mild when you do have them, I'm fairly certain you don't have Crohns.
Just give your body time to get over a virus- you'll probably feel great in a week or less.

If you've managed to have bugs w/o the fever and aches, you're lucky. I agree with Dee-you've picked up a stomach bug that just needs to run it's course.
My cousin has Crohns. It's not something to wish that you have. It's horrid. He's had 3 surgeries to cut out the area of his intestine that can't function anymore...

Just a little update, last night early in the morning I think my fever finally broke, but my stomach is a little sore today still. Kind of a dull ache in the upper part. Tried eating something, but still not feeling great. Diarrhea has subsided a little bit too. Guess the fever and aches were just a one day thing. Seems kinda random.
