Not Satisfied; Apps2SD still not made available

I know root has made it possible for apps2sd on our phones but I can't understand why they have not made it standard for android or at least an option. i understand that there may be limitations but dammit, WM has had it for as long as i can remember. We have asked for multi-touch and all those other things but this is the most important because this does affect the quality of apps in the market. This should be our biggest push and then large games and apps wouldnt be a problem to have made.

Yeah. And then developers will become even lazier and applications will become fatter and fatter... and slower and slower.

I personally like applications that are lean and streamlined. This shows true craftsmanship in their development. Current applications can still use the SD card for caches and whatnot.

I am not saying that apps2sd would be entirely bad, I just hope it does not encourage laziness and low-quality applications just because the apps can use more space. Just because resources are available does not mean the application should consume all available resources

Agreed. The space limitation just pushes to improve size and performance. If I need extra textures for the game I'll be building soon, I'll just set it up to download them all to the sdcard and load them from there. In fact, I'd say that's more graceful.

It does suck that there's a limitation on space from those that use tons of apps, but what can you do (outside of rooting).

That is true but notice the high quality apps and games (especially the good ones) on the iphone with great functionality take up a huge amount of space that would fill the space allowed on android phones with a single app. I love the concept you guys have but at some point quality does start to breed size.
