Regardless of what you think about this, the mentality that the govt (aka rabroad
her working people) should fund your life for eternity is what is destroying and will destroy this country.

Ever looked at the social security and medicare liabilities? People who think they are going to depend on these and similar programs have a rude awakening coming. There simply isn't the tax base to fund all of these programs with the number of boomers that are going to be in them.
 
The employee doesn't pay into FUTA. Unemployment taxes are payroll taxes generally assessed only against the employer.

The amount paid into unemployment is miniscule compared to how much you use when you are unemployed. The federal unemployment tax rate currently is 6% on the first $7,000 per year of compensation for each employee....you wipe out 2 years of contributions in one 2 week unemployment paycheck

Hell I'd be generous and say 5 apps a week. Since there's a 20% success rate, you should get a job within a week or two. Even if you have shitty luck, you should still be hired to something within a month.

You're making an assumption that he made a decent enough amount of money to have been able to put some aside for savings. Some people may nrabroad
have the luxury of having leftover money after the cost of living.
