Not completely Ducati related but I think some will appreciate

Gaga science

None of you know but I develop and design high powered rockets which often reach lengths of 12-20 feet and have the capabilities of reaching mach 2.5+ and travel to the stratosphere. This is my other passion besides Ducatis. In my latest and most advanced design, the electronic payloads and advanced body design is going to push the limits of what is possible. External temperatures will reach 600 degrees and stresses will be over 1000g's. This requires something we all love...

CARBON FIBERRRRRR

I buy pieces for my bike, but I also make my own pieces, just like how I make my rockets, from RAW material. So here is some RAW material for anyone who appreciates CF. If you didnt know, it comes in a 60" sheet and comes woven in different types of ways. This is my favorite and the one most used in motorcycles, the 5.9oz 2x2 Carbon Twill. The 90 degree offset maintains strength in 2 directions, necessary for our applications. Here is what it looks like, every time my rolls come in I DROOOOLLLLLL

For a nominal fee... J/k they put out many thousands of pounds of thrust. It would probably kill you or tear your bike to pieces!! Ahrghggghrgrgghhhhhh love it!!

Took forever to spin this body tube. Multi-directional nano-threading body. Strong in EVERY direction. This is a smaller, 12 footer. This will hit mach 2.6. Has a titanium tip and full on board electronics: 2 GPS systems, 2 avionics computers, 2 hard drives. Every system has a redundant back-up. No losing a bird, the cost is WAYYY too much. This is just the exterior, the interior is where all the action really happens...

wow thats some nice work, was the exterior tube filament winding? And are you using a high temp epoxy?

Neat we actually have rocket scientist here!

Just need to strap some sort of camera inside it and once it reaches it peak and the chute opens the camera is on looking at the ground on decent for 30 min.

Me being completely uneducated for rocket building I would immagine that it on average costs around 6k$ to develop, build test and launch a rocket like this or ones I've seen that are advanced. Hell I know from the rc world you can easily spend more than a 1198S, thats right new 1198S on a good jet.
