Not ANOTHER N95 thread ... surely ?

Yes, here it is again.

You just can't keep a good phone down.

I just wanted to say that the 95 is the first phone I've ever been able to surf on - I mean completely naturally, as I would on a PC ... ie - without a lot of niggling frustrations.

Particularly with the redoubtable Opera 8.65

It really is a true palm device.
I mean when was the last time you surfed, lying on a couch ... with a laptop ?

This phone is a milestone.
A benchmark.

Let's see how many closed threads i can be associated with. :HINT:

For the record I love my phone. It's in my pocket and will be the only thing in my pocket until a US 3G N series powerhouse is available.

i like using the wifi on it too -- but it seems to hang on to the signal for no more than 1 min before it disconnects.

so, it's good for those quick app-installs and "certificate checks" .. but not much else (for me, anyway) --

anyone else having the disconnect problem?

sorry for the minor thread-hijaack.

So I was watching the News at Noon and saw an ad for ITT Tech.

There were these 2 girls and much to my surprise, one had an N93.
They took a picture of themselves together using the internal camera.
Then they sent it to another girl who had a Razr.

Some of the other 8 or so that you've started were tolerable and provoked some good discussion, but this one? Save your comments for ANY of the already numerously existing review threads.

I don't have a 95, but I'll bet it's nice with that 2.6" screen. Sometimes I use my N80 not just for surfing, but for reading public-domain literature. Lately I've re-read most of the Sherlock Holmes stories on my phone, sitting in an easy chair with one leg slung over the arm of the chair, ? la Sherlock Holmes himself. Saves a trip to the library or Barnes & Noble.

I have this habit that I can't shake. Every movie I see in theatres, I find myself paying more attention to what phones the characters are using rather than what they're saying or doing. I did it in Shooter last weekend, Grindhouse, and Fracture. Grindhouse had a curvey bar phone whose model number escapes me in the Death Proof segment, though it doesn't matter cause it was s40. Fracture had those RAZR wannabes from Spring in black, and Shooter had a 6680, which was neat to see in a movie. I believe it also had one of those swivel s40's from Nokia's L'Amour series, but I couldn't tell and the movie had gotten WAY better than distinguishing cell phones at that point.

I've been doing the same thing lately. IMO the best use of cellphones in a movie is the most recent Casino Royale movie. Alot of SE usage throughout.

ha! 6600 beats em all, it has its own movie... Cellular

though 8800 (or was that 8801?) in Crank looks better than the main character...

I have the same problem, girlfriend truly thinks I'm crazy, and just sitting in the theatre, waiting for the movie to start, I'm way too focused on what phones people are using to talk, text, play games, turning ringers off etc...
