Nose bleeds

That's an easy one! Unexplained nose bleeds are cause by mold in the house or workplace but most likely in the house.
Check your house very carefully anywhere there is a chance of water leaking or getting in and providing the perfect breeding ground for mold.
 
unfortunetly this may NOT be an easy thing to pinpoint down. there can be MANY possible reasons for the type of nosebleeds you are experiencing, some kind of minor but some others that really do need to be checked out and at the very least ruled out as a possible reason. thats just an awful lot of sudden unexpected nosebleeds to have. i would not consider this at all 'normal'. have you at least seen your primary so he can eval this and do some blood labs to check metabolics, kidneys and most importantly the liver too? i am not trying to freak you out here at all but having certain types of real liver problems can do this to a person among other things. you also need to know just how your clotting factors are which would be checked with the blood labs too. just how long has this been going on? are you experiencing any other symptoms or any pain in the abdomen?

there are just like i said, ALOT of possible reasons and or generators for the type of bleeding you have been experiencing that some can be easily ruled out or in with labs being done. i would most definitely make an appt with your primary for that full work up and see what does or does not show itself. this just really needs to be found out so you just hopefully stop getting them and losing all that blood everyday too. you could be anemic and not even fully be aware if you just are bleeding that much and often? this too would show in your lab work. i do hope this is one of those more benign reasons. please let us know just what you find out. Nose bleeds, what about your blood pressure, is it high ?

Dry air , weather change can cause nose bleeds.
Have you tried a humidifier in your home to see if this has something to do with dry air ?

Nose bleeds can be caused by numerous reasons.

(sorry if i'm bringing up an old thread)
I am also experiencing random but severe nosebleeds. I talked to my doctor and had a blood test done, which didn't seem have any problems. I do not have high blood pressure. They come in sets of 3, the first being bad, the second the most severe, and the third is usually mild. I get them regardless of season or weather, although they tend to be more frequent in the winter due to the dryness.
i sleep with a humidifier running during the winter months and use nasal spray sparingly(as recommended by my doctor).
they happen whether i am active, or in one case nothing more than sitting watching TV. I have even gotten to the point of having a "routine" for dealing with them. The reason i am posting is because the most recent onset caused me to get very dizzy and to lie on the floor in order to not throw-up(a sign of draining) or lose my balance.
i don't lose a little blood, i lose a lot, but I'm not anemic.
any suggestions at all would be welcomed.
I'm sick of it interrupting my life and having to clean up the mess.
 
if you actually have what would be referred to more as an 'active bleeder" with a particular vessel being the actual culprit here, they CAN actually cauterize it and simply take it out of circulation?

when you stated your doc did a blood test,do you actually know exactly what that test was? like mentioned above, there just can be sooo many different reasons for people to have sudden onset bloody noses. the key here is actually tracking it back to the underlying cause of them. it may or may not actually even BE your high BPs, this is where some docs can beome tunnel visioned since this just 'can' occur/seems logical"? so they don't bother to really thoroughly check out and rule out any and all other possible reasons/causes that can even create that type of real ongoing nosebleed.

simply running you thru some testing done on the liver and the kidneys would rule out that possible reason. there just IS a very very direct connection between the kidneys which help to govern BPs and high blood pressure too? and the liver and some of its functions in some cases can also be an underlying cause as well? its like i said, test and rule out til you find out the REAL true underlying cause in all this. your nosebleeds just really are rather bizarre in how they present and the overall bloodloss they casue too. that just screams for more in depth types of testing at this point.

i would seriously push your doc for this other real testing and if he decides you do not need it, move onto another primary who will. it can really make a huge huge difference in just seeing another doc for a problem you have had on a more chronic basis only because they are not in that more 'tunnel visioned' mode that any other doc who has simply dealt with this for a longer period of time would just not really be as interested in actually finding that underlying casue would be? our docs are supposed to work for US, and when they don't, you have every right to actually 'fire' them and find a much more caring doc. just DO get this checked out more in depth. hopefully it just IS a weaker but very strong as far as blood supply it carries goes, vessel that has had so many little breaks in the wall everytime it bleeds, it will just continue to get worse, not better, just from the repeated damage each bleed causes within the walls of any vessel. in that situation,t hey simply find the very base of that particular vessel and cauterize it so it wont 'work' anymore kind of thing? but either way,you do deserve some very real answers for this to even keep occuring in you. please let me know just what you find out.
