I'm currently a sophmore attending a highschool school in Massachusetts and I have been interested in applying to Northeastern in 2012. I have an older sister who is attending college yet because she will be 22 when I attend college at age 18, and me being the youngest in my family I doubt I will be able to recieve financial aid in that area....My mother is a teacher, my father is a police officer. we own two houses, and three cars (one for my sister). Yes, it sounds like we are wealthy, but I assure you we are not. My parents bought my grandparents a house overseas and because the dollar is worth much more than the the money in thailand (34 times). My sister's car was worth $3000 because we bought it from a friend. My issue is, owning all this property and automotives and such, and the salary my parents make, not to mention my mother's entire paycheck goes to my grandparents, if I apply to Northeastern my family will end up having to pay for more than half of the tuiton. My question is there a way out of this? Costing close to 43,000 a year is four times the amount we can afford.
