I have a 1985 chevy truck. I have recently just added some electric fans and such. The truck with a stock rad. and Clutch fan always ran around 195-210. I've been told that this is normal. With the electric fans it runs about the same. Is this ok or is this abnormal. The stock temp gauge doesnt show the truck overheating until 240 Truck runs awesome I built the motor. 350 bored .30 over, flat top pistons, Acid diped new heads (stock) aluminum intake 600 eldebrock carb,. Well last year the heater core blew out in the WINTER time and I havn't ran it in the hot weather until now and I have been told that putting a new heater core in, instead of bypassing it will actually make the truck run cooler. Is this true? Just wanting some advice. (a wise man always has one more question)
Well, I know that the heater core would hold more cooling capacity so I guess it makes sense......
