Noobie astronomy help needed?

I have just purchased my first telescope today, set it all up, and i'm impressed. Question is, are there any resources on the net, set out in Lamens terms that will help me study constellations and where relevant planets are in relation to them based on my location? Not that i can do anything with it yet as it's cloudy as hell...so a bit of research won't go amiss!

Any additional help would be appreciated.
Tina L. Have you ever thought that "ppl" buy telescopes because it's an interest they are looking to get into and want to learn it? Attitude like that stinks in any hobby or interest and basically shows what kind of person you are.
 
Astronomy.com and its associated magazine are very good at explaining things in simple terms.

Skyandtelescope.com (and the magazine) are very good also. It gets a bit more technical, but is still easy to understand.
