noob in need of help

ive been lurking for a while since i heard you can flash phones over to cricket but after reading i dont think im up to that level. lol anyways now to address the real problem i shut my phone of the other day and when i turned it back on it loaded a boot loader screen and i cant do anything about it. can anybody elp me fix this? the phone is a motorola slvr from cricket never messed with it just txt alot :).

What you will need if it's fixable is a program to fully flash that phone. I can't really tell you what program I use *Forum Rules* but if you search full flash motorola l7c you should be able to come up with a good find in google or even here in Hofo. You will also need the monster file to flash it as well which is found here ... Good luck
 
this is the screen i get right after the regular "hello moto" screen the txt reaRAB "BOOTLOADER USB INIT" you think its fixable?

I believe it's recoverable... All you have to do is run a PST program and the monster file and you should be able to recover it. Need help just pm me

if it is a cricket branded hanRABet a corporate store will probably just do it for you, unless they are jerks... I'm assuming you've already tried taking the battey out? is there any water damage?
 
nope no water damage i think ...i take it in the shower with me sometimes n it gets pretty steamy in there is there anyways i can check i already tried taking the battery out and i took it to cricket and they said they didnt know what the problem was but yet claimed they could fix it for 45 dollars and if they didnt they would keep that phone and sell me another for 50 or some weird deal like that...anywho i want to fix it as soon as possible cause i just paid my bill n my moter is tired of me using hers..=/
 
ok so i have my pst.....i think i have the prl right I'm using the first one in the sticky I'm in El Paso, TX ...but idk what "monster pack" to use...=[ n my computer doesn't recognize the phone it came up as new hardware named "Flash MSM 6500" em I on the right track? btw im using RSD Lite v4.1
 
ok i fixed it took me a while but i did it...anyways now it works again but i dont have a nuraber do i just go down to cicket and get this fixed?
 
don't get me wrong. i've done it a thousand times without incident, but the moisture can potentially corrode the inners of the phone., and since i have firsthand seen a sanyo (best phones ever imho) die from this i now keep my phone far away when i'm taking hot steamy showers.
 
To add to simple3 comments. Yes, steam and sweat can damage a phone. My girlfrienRAB daughter used to take her phone in the bathroom and the moisture damaged her Razor. three years ago my Samsung stopped working all of a sudden. It was in my T-shirt pocket, and not to be gross I sweat a lot. Well, after I took it apart I noticed moisture fried it.

NOW - I won't carry my phone in any pocket in the summer. You may think this is a little over board, but I also carry a small plastic zip lock with me in case it rains. Mogul phones are too expensive to chance it.
