Noob Help Regarding S710a

Before I get flamed, I did use search for this. I bought a 512mb memory stick for my phone and it's not working out too well. Is there anyway I can get it to work? What size memory sticks work on my phone? Thanks
 
What is firmware? Would it cost me anything to install it? Would it affect my phone's perofrmance?
 
It would probably cost you to mod your firware, but it shouldn't affect your phone's performance.
 
no its not a matter of updating the firmware. you would have to actually hack and modify the firmware for the s710. i've seen a couple articles on the net about it, but if u make a mistake doing it, you can potentially ruin ur phone
