None of the file sharing programs work?

Hello,
I have read several threads on Limewire not working because of having "Alcohol" installed.
But, I have installed almost every file sharing program.
I have tried Mp3Rocket, Bearshare, Limewire, Frostwire, and a few others.
Nothing works.
When I install it, it is fine. But then I open the program and it shuts off automatically.
I have reinstalled Java and these programs several times.
None of them work.
I have installed offline Java as well, still nothing.

If it helps, I have Stopzilla which is an antivirus, and maybe that is blocking it.
If so, how can I make Limewire or any other of these file sharing programs work?
Also, I have Nero, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it either.

I have literally, tried everything.

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks.

Nero should have no effect...doesn't for me...

BearShare doesn't use Java so that's not the problem...

which, by process of elimination, leaves your AV program...I know nothing about it, so can offer no advice about how its setup...

a review by PCmag.com was not exactly favorable....

Antivirus Software Review: Free Antivirus Software

you can also Google 'free antivirus reviews' to find other articles...

obviously I'm advising chunking that program you have...

Stopzilla includes spyware .. which is most likely the culprit. Option is to put LW or other p2p sharing programs on its safe list (if it includes such an option which it should), else choose another spyware program that 'is' p2p safe. Many spyware programmers do not like p2p software thus program them as detecting p2p sharing programs as having spyware even when they don't really have.

Switch your AV with Comodo IS Firewall and AntiVirus Free Software Download from Comodo
Switch Alcohol with PowerISO (does the same thing) PowerISO - Create, Edit, Extract, Mount, Compress, Encrypt, Split ISO file, ISO/BIN converter, Virtual Drive, DAA

Is it AV/alcohol related, then you should have no problem after that.

Sorry for the a bit confusing post. It should be "Switch your AV" not "Which your AV".

AV being AntiVirus i.e. uninstall Stopzilla and install another AntiVirus. Either the one I linked you to (it's free), or another of your choice. As long as it's P2P/file sharing friendly.

An AntiVirus, which will not let you decide what programs to use, isn't a good AntiVirus.
