Non rooters

like I said in my post, it took me the better part of 2 weeks just doing research on rooting before taking the plunge. That's after spending another 2+ weeks researching if I should buy the G1.

I have 0 (ZERO) knowledge of linux & rooting... heck I didn't even know what rooting was or that it was even possible to hack a cell phone until I did the research to see if it was even worth it to BUY the G1.

That said, rooting isn't for everybody and it's probably not for 95% of the G1 users out there, but for the few 5%, rooting is the only way to go. I'm proud to be part of the 5% out there.
 
"Rooters", them swine! They're like Commies and anarchists who want things better than what they are told they should like! They even got the nerve to say that because we paid for the phone and service we might want it to behave the way we want! What's wrong with these people? Anyway? Let's just keep GitMo open... you just never know...
 
I'm a non-rooter but only because I don't know how to root/and am scared to brick my phone.

I could probably read the "how-to" to root.. but then what will I do with it? lol
 
Let's make a thread about being anti-boulders ! While I was hiking , a boulder almost killed my g1 ! But my rooted superphone resisted it !
Anyways , there is nothing wrong with rooting your phone . Like everything else , just be careful while modding it , and it will be ok . Rooting is a PERSONAL preference !

As long as you read and follow the instructions when rooting..it will not mess up your phone at all and after rooting i have the option to use a standard build or a custom build with all the extra features and etc

you cant even send and receive file's via bluetooth yet
