non religious parents, are you concerned with the morality of the culture as well?

Not a parent, but I'm not concerned about nudity, 'obscene' language, and violence in media. I am concerned about issues related to the things you listed, glamorized violence/crime and sexist representations of women in television and movies. I think drug use and sex and such can be represented in an intelligent and honest way. I don't think we should bury these things.

I don't think the television should replace a parent as their kid's companion, y'know?

I see shows like Kyle XY as being a "family" show with the slogan "a new kind of family" appearing at the bottom of the screen. I think there has been underage drinking, sex, bad language, and the dad smoked pot in the past because the son found his stash on one episode.

Are you concerned at all about increasing nudity, language, and violence on tv? "just change the channel" doesn't seem to be that reliable all the time anymore. Also, if you are concerned, then why? wouldn't you just want your kids to simply be able to fit in and be a member of mainstream society?
