Ask your original surgeon for a copy of all your medical records including the Operationg Notes. Then go to a comletely new doctor in an area where they would not know each other and see what the new doctor says. If things are really as bad as you say and you are getting no help at all then it might be time to talk to a lawyer. Good Luck.

Hey, cowpin8, thanks for posting to the thread. I was begining to feel as tho I was a leper. I hate not being popular, the beautiful people always get all the attention.

In am sure that I have some sort of legal claim, probably on the HMO organazion's refusal to intervene alone. Unfortunately, and disgustingly true, the enormous HMO I had medical coberage with has incredible influence with local, state, and federal legislators. This has resulted in the legal monetary remedies having caps that are so low, attorney's mostly wll spend the time. They won't get paid enough. A wrongful death.case against this HMO that occurs in CA has a legal hard cap of just 25,000, and that is only if the case is won (victorry in required binding arbitration almost always goes the way of the organization being ersued). This means no justice for patients like me, and the HMO can go on disrespectfully providing sub stsndard care with impunity.

Going to a doc way out in left foeld sounds like a good idea, ..... I will do that if ever I can find money to do that. tho it was a pain in the ass to do, I sent my medical records to a specialist in Nevada (he fixes hernia surgical repairs gone bad), if I can be opened up again maybe he will see if anything else is going on. I could not lersonallyget my records because they charge .25 per page, all I have is $10 left now not including pennies.

Has any of these doctors who have messed you up been a urologist?????

My husband has had inguinal hernia surgery that was caused by having surgery for an undescended testicle. In this testicle surgery, they brought it down and sewed it into his leg for 6 months(at age 10) and then released it into the scrotum. The opening for the testicle in the abdomen was still there and very large and he had problems regularly. Then the hernia happened further up when he was lifting something heavy. Sound familiar? So he had 2 problems...the hernia and the opening into the scrotum. They fixed both areas when they did the hernia surgery. I wonder if you have a similar problem. Your problem sounds a lot like what my husband experienced when his testicle would ride up and down and get caught because that opening into the abdomen was too big. Once repaired and the hernia repaired, he's been fine but he does get protatitis and epididimytis easily and the symptoms are eerily similar to that testicle getting caught but with fever.

I would save my pennies and see a urologist. Forget the GP's and ER docs....they haven't a clue. You need a doc that is familiar with the anatomy. If it hadn't been for the urologist, my husband would never have had both areas fixed.

I hope this has been of even a tiny bit of help. Chronic pain and illness is horrible..been there.

good luck................Jenny

Urologist referrall (CHEER)
Earliest Available first week.of Nov (BOO)
Lots of people in the once affluent, unemployment ignorant, Silicon Valley are uninsured like me, and are taxing the overloaded Valley Medical Center System. God I pray I make it till then. Yesterday was horrible: Not only was it a day of constant unfettered pain, but my skin is feeling as though ants are having me for lunch, and I'm not able to hold anybsolid nutrition in my body: Prolly makes no difference as im not relly eating any way. Today is already seemingly another ant picnic, I've been itching all night: Enough to draw blood in a few spots alredy. Plus, woke up very early, itching, barely able to get to.the commode in time, and only to.have my heart rate jump a few beats when I felt a small earthquake; on the exact anniversary of one.of the most destructive earthquakes in US history (loma prietta 20 years ago) Am I in a movie or a novel or something? Sure seems like a foreshadowing morning to me.

Glad you got the referral and November will be here in couple of weeks. Hope you don't do any shaking before then. I remember that quake....sister in Santa Rosa felt it and heard it.

Hang in there and my treatment for chronic diarrhea....saltines and regular gingerale.....does it every time even when my gall bladder died.

Keep posting if it keeps you going.................Jenny
