non degree applicable NDA class?

Im in a NDA math class I see. My assesment test showed I was capable of the higher class but I took the lower class since it was one of the few open.
But I see it shows NDA for the math class im taking.
Soo..what would be the point of this class if it wont be a Credit to my AA degree?!
Would this class really not even count the 3 units then towards an AA?
