Nokia's answer regarding N93 NSU update problems....

Marc,

I also got my N93 updated at a Service Center for the second time now, and each time it only took around 20 to 30 minutes. And were I live, there are several centers within a 3 min drive.

I live in Pakistan and there are no Nokia service centres in 799,096 sq. km's of me. I don't know how else to update my phone. Could someone tell me if home flashing is worth it?

When I had mine flashed in a NSC, they said it takes 2-3 hours to be safe. Cuz sometimes even they tend to brick your phone during update. So bricking is not only limited to us. Practically, its the same process, but theirs is saved in their local computer. Cuz they said they get the updates thru a CD sent by Nokia, then saved in their computers.

Hi X-Man germ,
I know it only takes 20mins odd but this one is part of a shop and that's how they work it depends what else he is doing or has to fix but hardly the end of the world.

I know this is off topic but have only had Nokia's since June but do those little pins in the Data Cable ever get a little stuck in? and could that of been the cause of my bad connection because it's fine now and I'm confused but then that's easily done on my level of meds.

I think all of them have the ability for FOTA to be added.
Nokia has to decide this.
A good example is the N80....initialy it didn't come with FOTA, but with later firmware it was added on.
So I think all of them can, and it seems more logical for the ones with WLAN like N91, N80, N93.

They should just skip this v20 firmware and give us a new one with all the goodies like FOTA, WLAN finder and give us the Music edition mp3 player UI.
