nokia wont charge

HI there can any one help! my phone just stopped accepting charge from the charger really werid over the last 48 hrs its been playing up, screen going black and switching off.
BUT NOW IT WON'T ACCEPT POWER FROM THE CHARGER WHICH STILL WORKS FINE ON MY BROTHERS NOKIA, ANYONE GOT ANY TIPS AS TO THE PROBLEM. IS IT SOMETHING I CAN DO. SEEMS A SHAME VERY GOOD PHONE , NORMALLY.

What phone is it? It sounds like the contacts between the phone and the battery are either dirty or the battery needs to be replaced. Pull the battery out and check that there's no dirt in there first. If that doesn't work, then replace the battery. If that doesn't work then replace the phone.
