I'm looking at a few different phones, as I have been up for a renewal for a few months and my Palm Treo is so dead. It will not turn on unless its on the charger, and it constantly says no service even in places I used to get service in. So since I never gotten signal on it, I figured it was time to replace it.
I have narrowed it down to 2 brands of phones. I would prefer to stick with LG or Nokia. LG because it is what I am used to, before my Treo I only ever had LGs. I had the LG 8300, which was my all time favorite phone. It was perfect for texting and was pretty much the perfect phone for me. I have even gone as far as begging a friend of mine to sell me her old beat up LG 8300. Mine lasted me about 20 months, and that is absolutely huge for me...and it still didn't break, I just lost it in an airport. So if I get a LG, I want it to be as close to that one as I can get. I've read about the LG 8350, it seems to be good, but I am not too sure.
Now for why I chose Nokia as my other option. They seem to be (correct me if I'm wrong) good for signal, durability and all around good phones. The one I am looking at, the Nokia 6205, is very cute with its ice blue color.
Another problem I have, is I have a really hard time getting signal in my bedroom, so I need something that will give me the best possible signal. Which I know is mainly the carrier, but everyone tells me I have the best carrier, so why am I still not getting signal? I live in a decently populated area as well. I mean, it is nothing like New York City, but it also isn't a house in the middle of miles of woods.
Now, one more requirement for me, I do text a lot, but find it very hard to text with phones like the Motorola RAZR with the completely flat buttons.
Sorry for the long thread, but I'm kind of picky and i don't want to just buy any random phone considering I will be stuck with it for 2 years.
