Nokia S60 miniSD Compatibility & Price List (for E61/E70/N71/N73/N80/N92/N93)

UPDATE: I just got my E61 2 days ago and realized the "
Samsung OEM 2GB (unbranded)" has been crashing numerous times after/during file transfers. So I think we should either opt that one out of figure out if I just got a bad card. I think i might just go grab a san disk because it's name brand..haha. But this crashing nonsense makes me sad

after i picked up my phone today I went straight to fry's and bought a patriot 2gb mini sd, I used to have their PC Ram and it performs, but still have to stress this card though to see what's up..BTW 43.99OTD + 10 dollar rebate

of course...first thing i did was format it (USB MASS STORAGE MODE) in windows ..formatted it to have 4k clusters just as everyone was talking about (in reference to the choppy sounds people said they were getting)

im using this generic samsung 2gb mini sd and it works perfectly in my e61 and 6265i

I guess I made the mistake by purchasing a no name mini SD card, but my problem is, I insert the card into my E61 and I go to the menu for the memory and it shows 'no memory card inserted', and normally with my 64mb (included with phone) when inserted its there. So then of course I try the card on my PC, once again, nothing shows. But the weird thing is, I also tried my 64mb on my PC and even that didnt show. So, after all this I decide to go over to my local Futureshop and try out the 2GB card on one of their PC's card readers. Low and behold, it WORKS at Futureshop. Now I am completely stumped, and have no idea what do to about this. Someone please help me out here.

TIA

I use sandisk 2GB in my E61. Haven't noticed any problems so far. I haven't formatted the card - using it as it was preformatted - FAT16. I know that's a waste of space, but FAT16 (32k clusters) has smaller table than FAT32 (4k clusters) (assuming uses less RAM to mount and operate, thus -might be faster). That's totally mu assumption however.

Anyone worried about forking out some more money for a micro sd later down the road when they switch phones? Anyone find a good seller on ebay selling the combination of SD adaptor, mini SD adaptor + micro sd? The prices are rediculous! $100+

got this card from buy . com:

ATP 2GB ProMax miniSD card with UFD reader (x150speed, mini-to-SD adapter) as well as USB MiniSD reader. $55 after google checkout. using it for 2 weeks, reformated 5-6 times, navigation, video, mp3, apps -- testing my N73, hard resetting and reloading -- so far very stable. recomend!

A-Data 2gb card from frys' ..

It worked just fine. Video is pretty smooth, but I would really like to try another card to see if I can get better performance. I paid about 50.00 for this card..
