Can anyone notice the difference in speed with the cards? I might get the fastest miniSD I've seen, the Ridata one, 150x.

Since there is an MMC Compatibility List in the S60, I think we should also have miniSD Compatibility List for all S60 devices that uses miniSD...

so here goes:

Tested on E61:

Nokia miniSD brand- 64MB (it came with the E61)

Promate- 2GB


just got that promate today for U$55, and it is working great with my E61!

I have tested a few MINI SD cards.

1. Ridate 150x 1gig = very fast & good

Kingston 1GB MiniSD & N80 => No good. The phone freezes a lot. Gallery takes forever to load. The phone also randomly crashes when browsing through video files.

Changed to Transcend 1GB 80x miniSD => No problem ever since

does speed make a HUGE differnece when it comes to viewing movies ? hopefully it doesn't because i just spent 200.00 on me and my lady's simpletech miniSD cards that appear to be working just fine on the E61.

Oh and anyone know how to PREVENT the default folders from being created on the miniSD card for the E61.

Im using the Sandisk 'Mobile' 1gb, works fine although phone has corrupted memory card completly once, not sure if its phones fault or mem card.

what are the write/read speeds?

I'm about to get an E60 with a 2GB rs-mmc dv (kingston) & I'm wondering if I need to format the memory card. If so, how? Forgive me asking but i'm not too knowledgeful on this...
