Nokia only user - Thinking of Samsung X820/P310

Hi all,

I currently use 2 phones daily, the Nokia 6230 (not i) great phone, VERY rigid and I have it from the first week it came out, still working flawlessly after it went through A LOT. And, the Nokia e60.
The e60 has a very sleek look and a great keyboard and speakerphone, but when it comes to menu and menu speeds it falls to the much older and less complicated 6230.
Like Nokia did with updating the 6230 to the 6230i with a "heavier" interface and menu and better camera, made it better on paper specs, but a PAIN to use due to lags in menu and repond times from the extra graphics and software.
Same goes for the e60, it's horrible due to slow respond times and freezes, sometimes even restarts.

Another annoying thing with Symbian 60 on the e60 is the fact you cannot load the wallpaper to cover the WHOLE screen, only the middle of it, cannot cover the part where it shoes the time/battery/reception etc.

I want a thin unique phone. Samsung have the nicest one to look at, the P310 and the X820.
I wanted to know about the menus, are they built well? Are the phone overloaded with software and graphical interface like the 6230i and e60 that makes them lag and respond slowly?
Most important is that the phone will respond on the spot, like the regular 6230.
Speakerphone is also important, and both have 2MP camera which is enough for me.

If anyone has some input after using one of these please advise me, I want to buy one soon, i'm tired of the Nokia e60 as my main phone.

The UI on the X820 is very pleasing to look at (at least, I like it). Most people say that Samsung doesn't make their phones as customizable as other manufacturers, and thats true to a point. For example, you can change your ringtone to any mp3 you like, but you can't change the txt message tone to an mp3, only to the 10 built in choices.

But besides that, the UI is very sleek and fast. Other than browsing through the pictures folder, the UI responds very fast with no lag.
