Nokia N97 - to get or not to get!?!?

I have heard good and bad things, I'm of course impressed with the good points bad the bad points are that it freezes constantly, I've heard that there are new updates that can be put onto it.......does this fix the freezing?
is it worth getting this pone? I love the design!
I mainly like the style with the slide out keypad if anyone has any other phone ideas that looks like this one please let me know!
 
ok i may ask if do you slam phones a lot? if yes! no you shouldn't get this get more cheap like the 6230i, 5130, 3310 something like that.. they're more stronger...
