nokia n96 screen problem help blank screen?

i have nokia n96 the screen went blank i replaced the flex still nothing i did the 3 finger reset it came on and then off. still nothing... what could it be and how can i do these methods ive researched and apparently its the software..?! firmware?! or to flash the fone...what the hell i don't have a clue helpp.. please.. much appreicated
