I am using a Blackberry 8800 right now and I was thinking about picking up an N95 but I was wondering if it has the ability to receive email, like a push email solution.

I'm pretty sure RIM do have an e-mail solution for Symbian-based phones though don't quote me on that. Go to the RIM website and check out their software. If they do have a Symbian Crack-ahem-Blackberry client it should generate a new PIN for your IMEI then all you need to do is access your Blackberry account and update the details.
Of course it can! Blackberry isn't the only email game in town!
Out of the box, the N95 has the same pull email option as all s60 devices which works well if you don't need your email the second someone sends it to you.
There are some claims that the Blackberry Connect application works with the N95 as well for push email, but I haven't heard or seen anybody set it up as of it.
There's also emoze, which syncs your emails FASTER than Outlook can grab them, which is nifty. The member "Zeze" has a blog about s60 applications and he wrote a fantastic review about it if you'd like to learn more about it. I haven't tried it myself because I'm still trying to make the transition from Thunderbird and my PC is still waiting to be formatted.

emoze looks interesting, too bad I have to leave my computer on all of the time for it to work. But I was reading into ProfiMail, has anyone used it on their N95? It looks to do what I want.
Also does the email program that ships with the phone have the ability to go out and check emails every few mins?

Profimail works the same way as the built-in email client, except that it displays the html version by default instead of text only. You can set Profimail to automatically check emails by intervals as brief as to the minute, and you can set the built-in application to check emails as quickly as every half-hour.

emoze is definitely the best push option available right now IMO. You're right though that your PC must be running (although you can leave it locked to prevent unauthorized access).
Another free option is Morange (www.morange.com) but it is a java app so your battery life will suffer. Morange is an awesome app though and also provides push RSS feeds, remote surveillance and more.
For pay options, look into Always-On Mail. I beta-tested it for a while and it's a good push solution that makes use of the integrated S60 3rd email but I have many apps on my phone and I found that it conflicted with the data connections of some other apps. You might also look at the Nokia for Business site for other (pay) push options.
