Nokia N95-2 / N95i / N95 (US) - Availabliity & Pricing Question

I'll spend a absurd amount of money on phones but when it comes to my cell phone plan I won't spend on data or any other add on. I figure if I need to use the internet bad enough there are plenty of hot spots around. I just can't see spending money on my home internet and for my cell phone too.

First, I doubt if they have incorporated the hardware and no one has heard of it. It's much cheaper to do such from a manufacturer's standpoint.

Second, Rcadden is pretty darn reliable and I would take his rumors with a pound of salt.

Third, its not really a N95 thread, its speculation about a rumor that was on the Internet about a US version of the N95. It very much deserves life. So quick to report.

I smell an early Christmas for me..if they do in fact come out with a US 3G N95 (or just update the FW to unlock the US bands per what some have already said) its gonna be a huge decision between the N95 or E90. So I'm waiting to see what the Fall season brings.........

That may be the real reason Nokia is rumored to be releasing a US version of the N95. Add that to the fact it did really well with EDGE only at the flagship stores.

Now, let's speculate on colors. I think Nokia will deliver warm graphite as the US 3G.

I cannot speak for some, but the review N95 that I have in front of me is quite speedy. I havent checked the firmware yet (will peep a thread on how to do that soon) but last night, I was on ESPN and a few other sites, and they rendered incredibly fast. My Treo 680 trying to render the same sites while also quick (for an EDGE device) was not at all as fast.

So if there is US firmware leaking around, I think its great for us US folks who want this (excellent) device.

I've never had speed issues with my N95. Menus are snappy and the browser is amazing. 3G would just make the heavy multi-media activities easy / possible.
