ok, update for everyone that helped me out. i finally managed to do a software update on it, and that fixed the problem.the code was reset and i turned off the "lock if sim changed" option. there were some problems early on getting the software update to work, but everythings good now, thanks guys.

yup. healthy alternative if all hope is lost. i'm assuming by flashing you mean "nokia software update" though
